Two tiny feet and ten tiny toes that never got the chance to explore all the world has to offer.
Little feet that don’t get to experience the feeling of sand between the toes. Won’t be used to climb a tree, never get to swim in the sea, or play amongst a playground.
Feet that many never got the chance to meet along with smiles that are never seen. Two feet I long to walk beside, with small shoes left unfilled.
Little feet that I should be cuddled up to and little hands that can’t reach out to mine.
A tiny soul that never got to grow.
Stories left unwritten.
Dreams that will never be.
Laughter that can never be heard.
Footprints never left behind.
I missed you today but that’s nothing new, I missed you yesterday and will continue to.
